Job Description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Operational Process Re-engineering to improve efficiencies & drive cost saving initiatives:
    • Identify key store processes to re-engineer; using the productivity model
    • Analyse & identify improvements in Field management methodologies; systems and new technology
    • Project manage it where needed & report on progress / improvements
    • Understand and research best practices in the group and world retail
  • Facilitate Business developments and changes based on business requirements:
    • Give input to strategically grow the PEP Africa footprint in Central; Eastern & Western Africa
    • Manage an Integrated Property Plan (i.e. for new countries; nodes; new store formats etc.)
    • Analyse & investigate business expansion opportunities in New countries
    • Coordinate & attend Property speculation trips
  • Manage projects:
    • Provide all information necessary for scoping of projects (i.e. business case; impact assessment; testing & sign off; budget etc.)
    • Manage projects and coordinate the roll out / implementation of systems and processes
    • Liaise with and provide regular feedback to relevant stakeholders
    • Facilitation of workshops and / or change management if required
  • General support:
    • Support existing business processes & technology
    • Coordination of ad hoc projects and meetings
    • Compile relevant reports
    • General support for Country GM`s & Operations team to assist in meeting strategic objectives 

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS 

  • Grade 12
  • Tertiary qualification required
  • 3+ years proven Project management experience
  • Experience in working in a retail environment advantageous
  • Computer literacy: MS Office & MS Project - Advanced
  • South Africa citizen required
  • Willingness to travel extensively to African countries
