Job Advert An exciting and challenging new opportunity has become available for a Financial Manager for Refinery & Shoe City within Steinhoff Speciality Fashion & Footwear (Dunns / Refinery / Shoe City / John Graig / Tekkie Town). The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure the reliability of financial information and reporting used within the organization for optimal decision-making and to support other business functions with information and advice on business decisions. Our ideal candidate must be self-motivated, positive, and passionate about performance, a resilient individual who can think laterally and who has strong analytical and proven numerical and accounting abilities.
Qualifications Must be a qualified Chartered Account with 3 – 4 years’ experience OR as minimum have a B Comm degree with articles
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Inherent minimum requirements (skills & knowledge):

• Must be a qualified Chartered Account with 3 – 4 years’ experience OR as minimum have a B Comm degree with articles and 
7+ years’ experience - essential requirement 
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Management Accounting and Reporting within retail/manufacturing or similar environment
• Minimum of 2 years people management experience
• Knowledge of legislative requirements for financial, corporate tax and commercial
• Knowledge of retail and related KPI’s and measurements
• Proficiency in the latest Microsoft packages (Word & Advanced Excel) is an essential requirement
• Presentation and communication skills
• A strong logical thinking and analytical ability with excellent numerical skills and the ability to be accurate and pay attention to 
• Has a high energy level and is performance-driven and deadline-orientated.
• Excellent planning, organizing and time management skills.
• Ability to remain flexible, function under pressure and maintain a positive attitude and work performance in a variety of 
• Ability to multi-task and to deal with complexities, use initiative to solve problems. 
• Ability to work independently, as well as be a team player.
Key Responsibilities Key duties and responsibilities:

• Monthly and quarterly management reporting as well as year-end reports
• Overall responsibility of driving the budgeting process and preparing the final budget submissions in conjunction with the
management team
• Quarterly financial forecasting and final consolidation of 3 year plan
• Manage and control the actual expenditure of the company
• Review monthly fixed asset and Capex reporting 
• Review GL recons periodically
• Communicate finance information to internal and external stakeholders as required
