Job Advert To manage the provision of structured learning and growth opportunities for all Specialty brands and functional departments which are sustainable and support the strategic initiatives of each brand/function.
Qualifications Grade 12
Degree in HR Management or in Behavioural Sciences
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Minimum of 3 years experience
Key Responsibilities •Conducts comprehensive training needs analysis in order to determine the most relevant and cost effective training solutions for the various brands/functional departments & to support overall business strategy.
•Legislative reporting (WSP & ATR) of all brands under Steinhoff Speciality Fashion & Footwear & maintain relationships with the W&R SETA.
•Assist each brand in developing a robust talent pipeline for Store Managers that meets the growth needs of every business. 
•Draft and align the training budget with the training strategy for the group.
•Monthly Brand Management Reporting on Training and Development intervention plans per brand and company while actively monitoring the ROI on interventions to assess efficiency and adapt where necessary.
•Quarterly end Year End Steinhoff reporting on Training and Development intervention plans.
•Manage & Report on PET Fund used for the distribution of study bursaries to all brands.
•Maintain stakeholder relationships and support where needed with; for example Training stats for EE reporting, Developing of EMT’s & Roll Out of Business Projects.

Operations Training:
•Ensure all training pre-administration packs are updated & prepared before training commence ie: registers, name badges, evaluations, etc.
•Maintain cost effective training venues in existing 7 geographical areas/hubs (CPT, Jhb, Dbn, Polok, Bloem, PE, Nam) and continually source new future potentially areas/hubs.
•Maintain update of current Store Manager Core Programmes and Fast Track Programme.
•Design, develop and maintain design new Core Programmes for i.e.: 2IC’s, Shop Assistants/Sales Assistants. 
•Design & develop a Senior Store Manager Development Programme as succession programme for store managers into other roles such as RSM, HRM, VM, etc.
•Create a Ops Training calendar with a 6 month and 12 month view of Ops training interventions (for all Brands) and include associated training areas/hubs in line with T&D Budget Plan & WSP.
•Manage and where possible assist in the timeous execution of functional training interventions as per the planned Training calendar. 
•Be able to facilitate all current store manager functional training interventions which include: Managing Relationships, Managing Risk, Managing Sales, Recruitment & Selection, IR Initiating & IR Chairing Inquiries.
•Compile a post training feedback/evaluation report and communicate to relevant brand stakeholders.
•Maintain records i.e.; training registers, invoices, etc. for W&R SETA Verification.
•Update and maintain a central database (on SharePoint) of all new & updated Training Calendars.
•Communicate timeously to all relevant stakeholders on any new or changes to Training Calendars.
•Report monthly to all Brands executed & planned training interventions; numbers deliverables.

Early Morning Training (EMTs):
•Meet frequently with Brand HRM stakeholders to align on EMT training needs.
•Create a EMT Calendar with a 6 month view of expected deliverables per brands.
•Adhere and maintain compliance of the EMT critical path as outlined by the EMT process.
•Research, design & develop new innovative concepts/ideas to make EMT’s relevant and exciting.
•Update and maintain a central database (on SharePoint) of all new & updated EMT Calendars.
•Update and maintain a central database (on SharePoint) of all new & updated Training Calendars.
•Communicate timeously to all relevant stakeholders on any new & or changes to EMT Calendars.
•Report monthly to all Brands on executed & planned EMT interventions.

LEAD Programme:
Maintain an active, leading role in the timeous execution of the following steps of the LEAD Programme:
•Confirm criteria of nomination.
•Identify and nominate candidates.
•Arrange and communicate Assessment Centre dates.
•Run assessment Centres.
•Assess eligibility, readiness and competencies of nominees.
•Integrate results of Assessment Centres & Nomination criteria.
•Propose candidates and make a final selection.
•Communicate outcomes to candidates & company Executives.
•Communicate final selection list to Pep OD.
•Compile Individual Development Plans for each selected candidate.
•Monitor and maintain progress update communication with all candidate Line Managers & relevant stakeholders throughout the programme.
•Any training need identified with successful (not covered in the programme) and unsuccessful candidates should be communicated with the Brand HRM & Line Manager.
