Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB

To ensure correct and timeous processing and payment of death, retirement, early retirement and disability benefits of pension and provident funds and the administration and record keeping as set out according to company standards, fund policies and applicable legislation in South Africa and BLNS countries.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administration of Death claims, including Funeral and Educational Assistance for all SA and BLNS Funds;

  • Administration of Disability claims for all SA and BLNS Funds;

  • Administration of early, late and normal retirement claims for all SA and BLNS Funds;

  • Assist Remuneration and Benefits Manager with ad hoc administration tasks and projects;

  • Act as a back-up for Remuneration Benefits Practitioner.

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS
  • Grade 12;

  • Minimum 3 years working experience in the employee benefits environment;

  • Payroll system and Pension fund legislation knowledge would be advantageous;

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel;

  • Ability to work with highly confidential information;

  • Good interpersonal skills required with an appropriate degree of assertiveness and empathy;

  • Competencies required: Communication, Problem Assessment, Detail Orientation, Building and Maintaining Relationships, Accuracy, and Planning, Organising and Control.
