KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Process purchase orders and follow up on payments and orders
  • Pricing Administration (i.e. preparation for planning sessions)
  • Administration of Letters of Credit: Capture and assist with queries
  • Administration of promotions: Consolidate and prepare promotion pricing sheet
  • Information management: Compilation and maintenance of relevant reports
  • Deliveries follow-up: Local orders and imports
  • Systems and business process support and development
  • Quality check process coordination:
  • Limited sourcing: maintain effective relationships with suppliers
  • Ad hoc duties and assistance with projects

 

JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

 

  • 3-5 years Retail administration experience in a related/similar position is essential
  • Grade 12
  • Relevant Administrative Management certificate or diploma will be advantageous
  • PC Literacy: MS Office Advanced
  • Buying administration experience advantageous
  • Verbal and written skill excellent (English)
  • Imports / Exports experience ideal
  • Essential skills: Honesty; passion & resourcefulness; planning, organising & control; detail orientation; service orientation; communication; problem assessment; stress tolerance; building & maintaining relationships

  • 5 years Management experience
  • Extensive retail knowledge and experience
  • In addition to Buying trips, willingness to travel extensively to and within Africa

SICA will be a new founded business service unit; and will deliver additional services and benefits to suppliers and to the retail companies. The offered job will be visible on management board group-level and on top management level of retailers and suppliers.

Job focus is to concentrate on white goods (major domestic appliance and small domestic appliance), consumer electronics, IT products and related product groups;  therefore we look for an international orientated candidate, having knowledge in the named business on trade side or knowledge on the side of the related industry.

Job Mission :

Profile :

  • Candidates with purchase or sales or other background from the industry in scope, as well as experienced candidates from trade / retailer companies

  • Negotiation experience in an international environment

  • Brand and supplier knowledge in consumer electronics or, large domestic appliances or small domestic appliances or IT and mobile devices

  • Also experience in sales and or marketing will fit to the job

  • Presentation skills, being capable to negotiate on an international level with top managers

  • Fluent in English is essential, additional language skills are a plus
